The Kindy is unique
- There are a number of kindergartens in our local area so why choose The Kindy?
- We have been privately owned and operated for 22 years
- We are a small centre, which cares for a maximum of 20 children per group, per day
- Our garden is like a beautiful park with an incredible amount of space (over 700 sqm) where children are able to learn about our natural environment, sustainability through our vege patch / recycling; and respect for all living things
- We offer a Preschool Program with extended hours (8am-4pm) and access to government funding for eligible parents
- We have separate 2 ½ - 3 & 4-year-old attendance days with the same group of children
- We have a continuity of staff for each group
- Our centre has a warm, nurturing and homely atmosphere
- We have no television
- The children’s play area has no access to the general public
- We have established hygiene practices which ensures a minimum transfer of germs also providing safety for allergies
- Our children are encouraged to learn community awareness for example through our relationship with the local nursing home, police and schools etc.
- We have an extensive kindergarten library open to our 4 year olds.
- We have a “reunion” for those children who have left The Kindy to start school within the first month of school..
- As only one age group attend each day the children's interests can be developed without time and resource constraints.
- A unique annual Christmas concert is developed for each age group with the children selecting their favourite music items and drama.
- Numerous special events are arranged throughout the year including The Reptile Man, The Swagman, The Puppeteer and our Chicken/Duck-hatching Program etc, which allows the children to participate and learn in a fun way.
